Immerse yourself in the world of Greek philosophy, where the Agora was the place for rich and fascinating exchanges between philosophers and citizens on the subject Of politics : the affairs of the city, all human affairs. How much Plato staged his master Socrates in his dialogues, during a banquet, surrounded by guests in search of truth on issues dear to our sensitivity. This first philosophical approach posed friendship as the sine qua non condition of the philosophical dialogue. Friendship was that form of love necessary for the search of the truth which inspired trust among all those who shared the space for an authentic discussion.
The ” inspiring courses” revisit this practical approach of the philosophical exercise closely linked to friendship as a prerequisite for this reflexive trend aiming wisdom. It is a moment of exchange around a question or an assertion, the objective of these courses being to strengthen the dynamics of a group while tackling a subject dear to all participants.
The philosophical dialog has mutliple healing effects. Sharing one's thoughts and feelings is liberating and makes us feel better. We feel less alone in our worries, anxieties, or disappointments. We learn with and through others, we understand things better and then we find solutions to our possible problems altogether. We leave the course with a peaceful heart, all enriched with new ideas. This is why these courses contribute to the participants' well-being while allowing them to become familiar with a subject that is important to them.
The philosopher/the course coordinator is the guardian of time and speech. He also plays the role of the facilitator in the exchange among the members of the group. He ensures the equal participation of all the members in the space of dialogue. He takes up the content of the interventions, he relaunches the group on relevant points of view. He questions, he synthesizes the different ideas while maintaining the pace of the course.
The duration of these courses is 2 hours with a break of 15 minutes between the two cycles. The subjects covered are mostly designated by the groups involved. Topics are also proposed based on a certain interest in concepts related to a practical approach to philosophy.
